Brighton Marathon 2022

Over £2,000 Raised

Huge congratulations to Alex and Emma who completed the 2022 Brigton Marathon. Here’s what they had to say: The first half went well for us, running along the coastline at a good pace despite the hills. The second half was a lot harder both physically and mentally, with Emma struggling from a bad knee injury. The power station section was undoubtedly the hardest part of the run with Alex having to stop to throw up at mile 21 and a mixture of running and walking for Emma’s knee. The support from everyone was amazing though. We picked up the pace for the last mile and the cheers of the crowd and everyone who came to support us spurred us on. We crossed the finish line in under 5 hours!

Whilst we had hoped for a faster time, we were so glad we managed to complete the whole course together! We would like to say a massive thank you to everyone who came to support us on the day and to everyone who donated generously to our special cause. We have managed to raise over £2000 for the MWMT which is a lot more than we ever, ever anticipated, and will go towards making a huge difference to someone who is suffering just as Max did. ???? With lots of love, Alex and Emma.
